IND vs WI: Why is Hardik Pandya Not Playing Today?

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Indian captain Rohit Sharma revealed that their star all-rounder Hardik Pandya misses out for this 4th T20I against West Indies. Rohit further hinted that there might be no injury worries for Pandya and thus, he has only been rested for this match. During the 3rd T20I game, Hardik bowled really well completing his quota of four overs picking up a wicket and gave away just 19 runs. The all-rounder has been in a top-notch form in the recent while both with the bat and ball.

“We were also looking to bowl, not sure how the pitch will play, we will now have to get the runs on the board. It’s important from the team’s perspective to find answers, we’ll try and put our best foot forward. I understand where we stand as a team and will be looking to give chances to some of the other guys. We need to make them feel confident, that means we’ll have to give them plenty of games. We are building towards the WC, the guys need to be tested in certain aspects of the game. Three changes for us – Ravi Bishnoi, Axar Patel and Sanju Samson are in. They replace Hardik Pandya, Ravi Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer,” said Indian captain Rohit Sharma at the toss.
