Mitchell Santner IRE vs NZ: It is now time for the second ODI match between hosts Ireland and New Zealand scheduled to take place on 12 July, 2022 (Tuesday) at the Village in Dublin. New Zealand pulled off a miraculous run-chase in the first ODI game on the back of a stunning innings of 127 runs off just 82 balls from Michael Bracewell to help the visitors secure an incredible 1-wicket victory. The Kiwis now have a lead of 1-0 in the three-match ODI series against Ireland.
The good news for the visiting New Zealand team is that their premier all-rounder Mitchell Santner has recovered from Covid-19 and will be available for selection in the second ODI game against Ireland on Tuesday. The left-arm spinner had to miss the opening game of the overseas tour after having contracted the virus, but is now completely fit and ready to be back in action.

In order to accommodate Mitchell Santner for the second ODI encounter against Ireland, New Zealand will have to make a couple of changes to their playing 11. The Kiwis will have to drop one of Glenn Phillips or Henry Nicholls while the visitors might also bring in Santner for leg-spinner Ish Sodhi.
