The T20 World Cup is just about to begin from 17 October, and excitement is at its peak, when the top teams will face off in the shortest format of the game. The warmup matches are also being scheduled in the meantime ahead of the T20 World Cup start date. This will be important for the teams, who have not played enough cricket, and want quality preparation to gauge the ground dimensions and pitch behaviour to perform well in the T20 World Cup. The teams like Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea, Oman, Namibia, Scotland, Bangladesh, and Ireland are playing practice matches, and soon all the top teams will take the center stage to play warmup matches as well.
Until 14th October, no warmup matches are being broadcasted live on TV or any streaming platform. But, the Super 12 warm-up matches that are slated to be played on October 18 and 20, is expected to demand fine viewership. This is the reason of the Star Sports bagging rights for these matches as well. The T20 World Cup Warmup matches will be broadcasted live on Star Sports Network and can be streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar Platform.
