DC Playing 11 2024: Delhi Capitals Player List, Players Bought at IPL Auction 2024

Even before paddles were raised and crores were spent at the IPL mini-auction in Dubai for the 2024 edition, Delhi Capitals have been spurred by the news that Rishabh Pant will return as captain. Having missed the 16th season due to a car accident in December 2022, Pant’s availability solves one of their major problems when they finished second from bottom this year — the absence of a match-winner in the middle order.

The batting & spin department of the core playing XI looks so strong and convincing. They needed a contingent upgrade in their all-rounder options.

DC 2024 Player List

 The franchise released some expensive picks like Rilee Rossouw and Rovman Powell. They could buy a maximum of 9 Players (4 overseas players) in their Squad for Rs.28.95 Crores.

While four overseas players (i.e. David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi) almost cemented their places in the playing XI, they needed an Indian Allrounder in the auction. But they focused on batting. Kumar Kushagra has been added. They have grabbed Harry Brook as a backup for Mitchell Marsh. Now they have a stronger squad to run into the upcoming season.
