Controversies

  • During the 2003 Cricket World Cup match against Namibia, Andy Flower and teammate Henry Olonga wore black armbands to protest against Robert Mugabe’s policies. This act led to Flower’s retirement from Zimbabwean cricket.
  • Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen blames ex-coach Andy Flower for his exit from England and has quoted “Andy Flower was always trying to find ways to get rid of me”.
