LSG vs CSK: IPL 2022 has already taken its toll on the fans. The league kick-started with Chennai Super Kings taking on Kolkata Knight Riders. But it wasn’t a fruitful ending for defending champions as they were pounded by Shreyas Iyer-led KKR. However, this isn’t the end of the road for them as the tournament has just started. With them being known for comebacks, it is expected that they would give their everything to defend their title.
After a disappointing start to their IPL 2022 campaign, Chennai Super Kings are slated to play Lucknow Super Giants in their second match of IPL 2022. The match will take place on Thursday (31st March) at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
It’s fair to say that the Ravindra Jadeja-led side missed the services of Deepak Chahar with the new ball and Moeen Ali as an all-rounder. But heading into the match against LSG, there will be a big positive for them.
The likes of Moeen Ali and Dwaine Pretorius, who missed the first game due to their three-day isolation period, will be available for the selection for the next game.
Only pacer Chahar will miss the game as he’s out due to an injury he suffered in the West Indies series. He’s expected to return in the latter half of the tournament. Other than him all the players are available for the fixture against LSG.
With Moeen Ali being available, he’s expected to walk straight into the playing XI. He’s likely to replace Mitchell Santner in the team. Apart from him U-19 pacer Rajvendra Hangargekar is also likely to replace Tushar Deshpande in the playing XI against LSG.
