MI IPL 2022: Five-time winners Mumbai Indians (MI) will open their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 campaign against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on 27 March during the first game of the day. Barring retaining the likes of skipper Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard, Mumbai Indians have bought some really talented and experienced players in the IPL 2022 mega auction.
The Mumbai Indians did not witnessed the best of fortunes during the last season of the Indian Premier League as they failed to qualify for the playoffs and ended at the fifth spot on the points table. Mumbai managed to win a total of 7 matches and at the same also suffered as many as 7 losses in the competition.
