Tilak Varma IPL: In a massive breaking news, Tilak Verma is all set to make his debut for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season today match against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The five-time champions Mumbai Indians picked the Hyderabad-born cricketer for a whopping amount worth INR 1.7 Crore during the IPL 2022 mega auction. Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant has won the toss and opted to field first.

19-year-old Tilak Varma does not comes from a rich family as his father was an electrician. While growing up, coach Salam Bayash provided him with all the cricket training as well as gave him food, and when required, a place to stay in his own house where five other family members lived. Tilak has played a lot of domestic cricket for Hyderabad across the three formats of the game. While having played a total of 15 T20 matches so far, the left-handed batsman has scored 381 runs at a brilliant strike-rate of more than 140 that includes as many as 3 half-centuries.

Tilak Varma made his T20 debut for Hyderabad in 2019 against Services and will be looking to deliver the goods for the Mumbai Indians as well in this 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
