LVA vs LAS Dream11: The WNBA is in full flow and we have seen amazing battles so far. The season is going towards the All-Star Break soon and there is a lot of clarity which players have emerged as the favorites. The Sun has been in riveting form while the Mercury has fallen off many times. The Dream and the Mystics have shown significant improvements. And how will it be when the Las Vegas Aces take on the Los Angeles Sparks?

The Aces have been the best team alongside the Sun. They have been in a sizzling form, winning ten out of their 12 games. In their last game, they beat the Wings 84:78 as Kelsey Plum propped up a 32 points night. On the other hand, the Sparks have won just five out of their last 12 games. WNBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Sparks: Tough schedule and poor three-point performances

The Sparks have built a superb driving and inside scoring squad but their three-point shooting has left huge question marks. They are dead last in the league both in terms of three-point attempts and also makes. But still, due to Nneka Ogwumike’s offensive resilience and a deep bench, the Sparks have been able to produce quality offense and have been among the top-scoring teams.

In fact, at this point, it is their defense that has been falling behind as they are dead-last in terms of defensive rating. And due to that, Derek Fisher was replaced by Fred Williams at this point. But it does sound a bit harsh, considering the Sparks have played nine out of their 12 first games away from home.

Aces: How do you stop them

Last season, Kelsey Plum did a great job of lifting her game and she is the reaping award this season. The Aces have perhaps the most intimidating starting five in the league, and they are also the most athletic team. This is why they are unsurprisingly the fastest team in the league with a pace of 81.6 which also has enabled them to become the highest-scoring team with an average of 90+ points per game.

The trouble playing against Aces is that they have a backcourt of Plum and Gray, with Plum being the main enforcer and Gray also bringing veteran offensive talent. On the other hand, the frontcourt of A’ja Wilson and Dearica Hamby is a force on the rebounding/defensive end and in the paint as well. Of course, Jackie Young deserves a mention for her special performances this season.
