ENG vs SL 3rd T20I: Possible Playing 11 of Sri Lanka

SL Playing 11: A low-confident Sri Lanka will face the No. 1 team England in the final T20I of the series here at Rose Bowl, Southampton. The visitors’ batting has been disappointing so far in this series which has cost them both the games. With lack of attacking intent, they have failed to put up a fight against this quality England bowling. In 11 head-to-head matches between these two teams, England leads 7-4. The Lankans will look to end the series on a high and take confidence into the ODIs.

There are no injury concerns for SL and all players are available. Pathum Nissanka might replace Avishka Fernando at the top given latter’s low scores this series.

SL Playing 11 (likely)

Danushka Gunathilaka
Pathum Nissanka
Kusal Perera (C)
Kusal Mendis
Niroshan Dickwella (wk)
Dasun Shanaka
Wanindu Hasaranga
Isuru Udana
Binura Fernando
Akila Dananjaya
Dushmantha Chameera

The batting has been Sri Lanka’s weakness this series so far. They have lost wickets quickly in the powerplay and haven’t been able to score freely as well. Gunathilaka was a star in the LPL and he will be relied upon to give a good start. The onus will be on experienced batters like Kusal Perera and Kusal Mendis to fire. The way Chameera and Fernando started in the last game with the new ball will give SL hope. Hasaranga was also impressive with his variations.
