WI vs SA 2nd Test: Possible Playing 11 of South Africa

SA Playing 11: After a convincing win in the first match, South Africa will be looking to seal the series in the 2nd Test against West Indies here at St. Lucia. The visitors have been through a transition phase for some time now and a win here will boost their confidence. It’s been 4 years since the Proteas have won an away Test series. South Africa lead the head-to-head record by a massive margin of 19-3 which is a sign how dominant they have been over the years. With form on their side, they will look to get a victory here.

It remains to be seen whether Temba Bavuma has recovered from his hip injury or not. If he isn’t fit, Kyle Verreynne will keep his place in the eleven. Rest of the eleven is likely to be the same.

SA Playing 11 (likely)

Dean Elgar (C)
Aiden Markram
Keegan Petersen
Rassie van der Dussen
Kyle Verreynne
Quinton de Kock (wk)
Wiaan Mulder
Keshav Maharaj
Kagiso Rabada
Anrich Nortje
Lungi Ngidi

Skipper Elgar will be looking to get amongst the runs after a duck in the first game. Markram looked fluent for his half-century while van der Dussen was also impressive. But the biggest positive was de Kock who announced his return to form with a blistering century. The three quicks blew away the WI batting order in the last game and SA will hope for a similar performance from them.

South Africa Squad
