Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) big-hitting all-rounder Andre Russell has always enjoyed batting against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the history of the Indian Premier League. In the ongoing IPL 2022 today match, Russell climbed towards the second position on the list of players to hit most sixes against RCB in the IPL history. Both Andre Russell and David Warner have now smashed a total of 38 sixes against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the history of the tournament.
Former Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni is placed at the top of the table with a total of 44 sixes against RCB so far. Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard are fourth and fifth names on the list with 33 and 32 sixes respectively against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, things did not panned out in an ideal manner for the Kolkata Knight Riders as they bundled out for a below-par total of 128 runs in 18.5 overs. Russell was the top-scorer for KKR as he smashed 25 runs off 18 balls. For RCB, Wanindu Hasaranga was the pick of the bowlers taking as many as four wickets. The pace bowling duo of Akash Deep and Harshal Patel also finished with three and two wickets respectively.

However in reply, the Royal Challengers Bangalore also find themselves in a big troublesome situation as they are 24 for 3 after 4 overs. RCB have lost three big wickets of Anuj Rawat, skipper Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli.
