Akash Deep IPL: In a very big moment, right-arm pacer Akash Deep will be making his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their first match this year against Punjab Kings at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. This is the opening match in the ongoing IPL 2022 seasons for both these teams who are yet to win a single title. The Royal Challengers Bangalore have appointed Faf du Plessis as their captain this year.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore bought Bengal pace bowler Akash Deep at his base price of INR 20 Lakh during the IPL 2022 mega auction. 25-year-old Akash hails from Bihar but started playing domestic cricket for Bengal. He made his T20 debut for Bengal in 2019 against Maharashtra.
While playing in as many as 21 T20 matches so far, Akash Deep has taken a total of 26 wickets at an impressive economy of less than 7. Now, he is all set to play in the Royal Challengers Bangalore playing 11 in the game against Punjab Kings.
