Dhoni and Domestic cricket
The legendary batsmen and former Indian captain, Sunil Gavaskar suggested that MS Dhoni should play more domestic cricket. Currently playing for India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2018, Dhoni also plays for Jharkhand and acts as a mentor. Unfortunately, Dhoni hasn’t played for a while.

It is a known fact that Dhoni is spectacular with the bat especially after his outstanding season in the Indian Premier League. Unfortunately for the former Indian captain, he has been unable to replicate that performance.
With the 2019 World Cup in sight, Gavaskar believes Dhoni should go back and participate in domestic cricket. This isn’t as an insult to the player but a way for Dhoni to regain his form and get as much practice as he needs before the World Cup comes around.
Post his playing career, Dhoni should conduct coaching classes on how to use DRS. Many international captains should enrol… 🤣🙌🙈

Gavaskar said that Dhoni should play the four-day games as well as domestic cricket. This will give him practice and will also inspire many emerging players from Jharkhand. Gavaskar explained by saying that the 50-over games don’t provide many opportunities. Four-day games and long innings help improve your stamina and work your legs.
A bit rusty
Gavaskar titled Dhoni as one of the most influential members of the team as well as the to-go man for any captain when it comes to tactical play. For Dhoni, the problem has been his recent batting. It has been described as sluggish and has been the cause of worry for many fans.
🇮🇳 vs 🇧🇩 Who are you backing to lift the 🏆 today?

Dhoni has always been among the best gloveman in team India. During the IPL in 2018, Dhoni led the Chennai Super Kings to a third title victory and scored a massive 455 runs from 16 matches. His average was around 76. Compare that to the current Asia Cup 2018 where Dhoni was only able to score 41 runs from 3 matches.
