India face arch-rivals Pakistan on September 19
After many years, India and Pakistan will again be seen together on the field on September 19 this year. The schedule for the Asia Cup 2018 was released by BCCI on Tuesday. India is set to play two ODIs on consecutive days.
The tournament takes place once every two years and it is scheduled to take place in the UAE from September 15 to September 28 this year.
In the opening match, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will face each other in Dubai.
MORE TEAMS LIKELY TO PARTICIPATE
For now, five countries have confirmed their participation including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. More teams may come up, the spot remains vacant. Most likely, UAE, Singapore, Oman, Nepal, Malaysia and Hong Kong will be roped in.
Group A teams: India, Pakistan and the qualifier
Group B teams: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 4 and then the two teams will then play the final on September 28 in Dubai.

For the record, the final of the 2016 Asia Cup was won by India who defeated Bangladesh by eight wickets at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium situated. It was for the sixth time that India won the Asia Cup title in 2016.
