Maiden Kl Rahul T20 century came against West Indies on August 27, 2016, in Lauderhill. The Indian team won the toss and chose to bat first. Rahul, who opened the innings with Rohit Sharma, made an immediate impact on the game. The right-handed batsman went on to smash an unbeaten 110 off just 51 balls, at a strike rate of 215.68. Rahul’s innings included an astounding 12 fours and 5 sixes, making it one of the most remarkable performances in the T20I format.
Rahul’s century helped India post a mammoth total of 244/4 in their allotted 20 overs, which was one of the highest scores by an Indian team in T20I cricket at that time.
