  • His friend Dhiren Kansara first noticed his cricketing talent when he was 15 years old and he advised him to play an inter-school tournament.
  • Earlier his first name’s spelling was “Akshar”, but his school principal misspelt it as “Axar” in the school leaving certificate, and thus he started using Axar in his name.
  • His father was worried about Axar’s fitness during the beginning of his cricketing career. His father enrolled him in a gym so that he could cope up with the physical demands of the game.
