Ekta Bisht, a senior spin bowler, hailed from Uttarakhand hill station town Almora and became the first Internation women cricketer from the Uttarakhand state of India. Her father Kundan Bisht is a retired Indian Army Officer. Moreover, Ekta started playing cricket at the age of 6, and in the initial year, she played among boys as her national teammates.
Also, her parents stated that the copious crowd gathers to see her when she used to play with the among the boys. While performing her love becomes her passion, and then, she decided to pursue her career in full-time cricket.

She won Khel Ratna award from the Uttarakhand government in November 2017.

She is the first International Women Crikcter from the Uttrakhand State of India.
Her father is retired from the Indian Army in 1988 at the rank of Havaldar.
Bisht started playing cricket at the age of six.
Her father opened a Tea stall in Almora just to run the family and support his daughter’s cricket career.
The family’s financial condition improved after Ekta was selected in the national team in 2011.
