Sri Lanka vs India Dream11: Team India registered a convincing 7-wicket win against Sri Lanka in the first ODI on Sunday. India have now taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. The second SL vs IND ODI match will take place on 20 July at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
1. Ishan Kishan
India’s Ishan Kishan showed his class and potential on his ODI debut against Sri Lanka. The swashbuckling left-handed batsman opened his account in 50-overs cricket with an incredible six down the ground. Ishan smacked a remarkable knock of 59 runs off just 42 balls that included 8 fours and 2 sixes. He became the only second Indian cricketer to make his ODI debut on the occasion of his birthday after Gursharan Singh achieved the same landmark in 1990. Incidentally, the Mumbai Indians batsman also notched up a sensational fifty on his T20I debut against England earlier this year.

2. Shikhar Dhawan
On his captaincy debut in international cricket, Shikhar Dhawan looked in a fabulous touch with the bat. The skipper composed a wonderful captain’s innings of 86 runs off 95 balls and he stayed there till the end to help India register a comfortable victory. Dhawan compiled three half-century partnerships with the trio of Prithvi Shaw, Ishan Kishan and Manish Pandey in the 1st ODI against Sri Lanka. Overall, in 143 ODIs, the left-handed Indian opener has composed a total of 6063 runs at an average of 45.93. He will once again be a key player to watch out for in this second ODI.

3. Dhananjaya de Silva
The first ODI of the three-match series didn’t turn out good for Sri Lanka as they failed to pose any great challenge with the ball. However, Sri Lanka vice-captain Dhananjaya de Silva performed decently well both with the bat and ball. The right-arm part-time off spinner picked up the crucial wickets of Prithvi Shaw and Manish Pandey and also looked impressive with the bat during his short stay at the crease. In 51 ODIs, the right-hander has scored 1078 runs at an average of 26.95 and has also scalped 27 wickets.

4. Kuldeep Yadav
India chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav looked in a brilliant touch on his return to competitive cricket. The left-arm leg spinner was turning the ball massively in the first ODI match against Sri Lanka in Colombo. He picked up the wickets of Bhanuka Rajapaksha and Minod Bhanuka in a single over to break the backbone of the home team batting line-up. Kuldeep finished with beautiful figures of 2 for 48 in his 9 overs that included a maiden as well. He is expected to be a top performer with the ball for India in the second match against Sri Lanka.

5. Prithvi Shaw
Indian opener Prithvi Shaw was the one who provided his team with an unbelievable start in the chase during the 1st ODI. The right-handed Mumbai batsman set the tempo with an incredible cameo innings of 43 runs off only 24 balls that consisted of 9 boundaries. In 8 matches of the 2020-21 Vijay Hazare Trophy, Shaw smashed a record total of 827 runs at a phenomenal average of 165.40 which included 1 double hundred and 4 centuries. The right-handed Delhi Capitals batsman notched up 308 runs in 8 games of the first half of IPL 2021 at a strike-rate of 165.48.
